SlitherControl+ is a browser extension that enhances the gaming experience for slither.io. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.

Information We Collect

1. Local Storage Data
   The extension stores the following information locally on your device:
   • Custom button configurations and positions
   • Control settings (sensitivity, cursor speed, trackpad mode)
   • Arrow cursor selections and redeemed codes
   • Chat username and preferences
   • UI visibility settings
2. Chat Functionality
   When using the global chat feature:
   • Your chosen username is transmitted to our chat server
   • Chat messages you send are stored temporarily on the server
   • Online user lists are maintained during active sessions
3. Redeem Codes
   When redeeming arrow codes:
   • Code validation requests are sent to our secure server
   • No personal information is transmitted with code validations

Data We Do NOT Collect

We do NOT collect:

• Personal identification information
• Email addresses
• IP addresses (beyond standard web server logs)
• Browser history
• Location data
• Payment information
• Any sensitive personal data

Third-Party Services

1. Chat Server
   • Uses secure WebSocket connections (wss://)
   • Messages are temporarily stored for delivery
   • No long-term message retention
2. Code Validation Server
   • Validates redemption codes only
   • Does not store user-specific data

Data Storage and Retention

Local Data:

• Stored indefinitely on your device
• Can be cleared by uninstalling the extension or clearing browser data

Server Data:

• Chat messages: Temporary (typically 24 hours)
• Online user lists: Session-only

Permissions Explanation

1. "Storage" Permission
   • Used to save your custom settings locally
   • Allows persistence of your control configurations
2. "Web Navigation" Permission
   • Required to detect when you're on slither.io
   • Ensures controls only activate on the intended website
3. Network Access
   • Required for global chat functionality
   • Used for code redemption validation
   • All connections use secure protocols (HTTPS/WSS)

Your Rights and Choices

• Clear all local data by uninstalling the extension
• Opt out of chat features by not using them
